William F. Tschumi, 90, of Cohoes passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, April 8, 2017 after a long illness. Born and educated in Troy, he was a graduate of Troy Business College and son of the late John and Viola Dibble Tschumi. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the Rogers S. Blood. He retired from Walter G. Hiney, Inc. in Wynantskill after many years of service. Bill was a Past Master of Cohoes Lodge #116, a member of Right Worshipful Association, a member Past Masters Association of the Old 17th Masonic District, member of the Shriner's, Grand Sword Bearer 1979-1980 Rensselaer Schenectady Grand Lodge F & A M, New York. A member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Latham, serving on several of the Church boards, his Church was very important to him. Husband of Shirley Clark Tschumi of Cohoes, his daughter Ellen (Donald) Fredrickson of Rotterdam and his granddaughter Christina (Chrissy) Fredrickson. Brother of the late Dr. Sally Tschumi and Dorothy Centanni, survived by nieces Sally Centanni and Constance Bonesteel and nephew Michael Centanni. Funeral Wednesday 10:00 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Latham
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.
