Germaine M. Gadoua, 87, of Boght Road, Cohoes died at St. Marys Hospital, Troy on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 after a short illness with her loving family by her side. Born in Napierville, Canada, educated in St. Josephs School Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Alberta Giroux Turgeon. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society and the Cohoes Columbiettes Council #192. She was predeceased by her husband Leo J. Gadoua. She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne (Stephen) Dobis of Cohoes and Denise (Donald) Fanniff of Cohoes. Grandmother of John (Lori) Dobis, Brian (Patricia) Fanniff, Krista Dobis (Carlos DeAmorin), Eric Leo (Jane) Fanniff and Deven VanBramer, great grandmother of Luca Fanniff, Christopher Michael Dobis, Mia Jolie Dobis, Tyler Leo Fanniff, Emily Elizabeth Fanniff, Hailey Shea VanBramer and Carter Joseph DeAmorin. Sister of Clement (Alice) Turgeon of Cohoes, Catherine Turgeon of Troy and the late Leo Turgeon. Also survived by her special Goddaughter and niece, Donna Turgeon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Friday 11:00am at Holy Trinity Parish, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Internment in St. Josephs Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday morning from 9 to 10:30am.
