Cohoes Raymond H. Johnston, 91, of Newark Street, Cohoes died at his residence on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 after a short illness. Born and educated in Cohoes and graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. He was the son of the late William and Agnes Pelletier Johnston. He worked as a lab technician at General Electric in Schenectady for over 40 years. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a long time member of the Taconic Hiking Club. Predeceased by his siblings, William Johnston, Bertha Martin, Theresa Doherty and Alice Doherty. Survived by nieces and nephews, Jack Dowd, Betti Jones, Cate Powers, Robert Doherty, Theresa Chovan, Nancy Manning, Ann Marie Howell, Dolores Schoonbeck and Edward Doherty. Funeral Friday, 11:00am at Holy Trinity Parish, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Josephs Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 6 to 8pm.
