Clifton Park – Cheryl A. Sheridan Nelson, 64, formerly of Clifton Park, died at her home at Maplewood Manor, Ballston Spa, N.Y. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 after a long illness. She was born in Cohoes, graduated from Cohoes High School and Siena College. Daughter of the late Robert and Jennie Pelesz Sheridan . She was an auditor for the N.Y.S. Controller’s Office and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church Cohoes. Cheryl is survived by her husband Robert Nelson of Clifton Park. Her children, Steven (Kristin) Nelson of Sayville, N.Y. and Alison (William) Peters of Mechanicville and 5 grandchildren. Sister of Karen (William) Donlon of Florida, Richard (Karen) Sheridan of Clifton Park, Geneta (William) Salviano of Henderson NV. and the late Paul Sheridan, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday, 11:00am at St. Michael’s Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc. 216 Columbia Street Cohoes on Monday from 4 to 7 PM. Those who wish to remember Cheryl in a special way may make a contribution in Cheryl’s memory to the Alzheimer Center at Albany Medical Center.
