Cohoes – Charles B. Flatley, 89, a lifelong resident of Cohoes, residing the last 3 years with his daughter and son-in-law in Scotia, died at Van Rensselaer Manor on Saturday, September 15, 2012 after a short illness. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Eugene and Orilla Senote Flatley. He worked for National Auto Stores as a salesman for over 24 years. Later worked with his son at his automotive shop and also for B & J Auto Parts. He was a World War II Army Veteran in the bomb disposal unit. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, detective shows and spending time with his family and loved his Yankees. Husband of the late Lois Frament Flatley. He is survived by his children, Raymond (Elizabeth) Flatley of Clifton Park, Charles (Laurie) Flatley of Florida, Kevin (Theresa) Flatley of Cohoes, Yvette (Robert) MacHattie of Scotia and Father of the late Sharon Leque. Brother of the late Bertha Vautrin and William Flatley. Also survived by a special nephew Eugene (Rose) Vautrin of East Greenbush, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday 10:30am at the DUFRSNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
