Cohoes Alice R. Bagley Chagnon, 89, of Congress Street, Cohoes, died at her residence with her family by her side on Sunday, July 14, 2013 after a short illness. She was born and educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Norman and Alice Morris Bagley. In her early years she worked at Troy District Shirt in Cohoes and later she retired from Jupiters in Cohoes in 1981. Member of the United Methodist Church of Cohoes, she belonged to the 5th Frame Mixed Bowling League and the Cohoes Rainbow Bowling League. Wife of 58 years to the late Eugene Chagnon. She is survived by her brothers, Norman (Kathleen) Bagley, Raymond Bagley, Irving (Mary) Bagley all of Cohoes, her brother-in-law Robert Carpenter and sister-in-law Janice Bagley of Cohoes She was predeceased by her siblings, Jeannette Carpenter, Cleo LaPlante, June Guilianelli and Donald Bagley. Loving aunt of Debra Borden, Donna Ferris, Irving Bagley, Jr., Jeffrey Bagley and Alice Bagley and great aunt of Alixandra Pimentel, Mark Borden, Jr., Julie Borden and David Ferris, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Wednesday 10:30am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Mother Geraldine Clemmons officiating. Interment in St. Josephs Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.
