Cohoes - Ramona E. Twogood Billings, 81, of Cohoes and formerly of Maplewood died peacefully at Van Rensselaer Manor on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 after a long illness. She was born in Raymertown, educated in a one room school house and graduated from Lansingburgh High School. Daughter of the late Earl and Goldie Sweet Twogood. She worked as a clerk at Standard Furniture Store in Troy for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Green Island and was a member of the UMW Society. Ramona enjoyed arts and crafts and her collection of music boxes. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Howard C. Billings, Jr. of Cohoes, her children, Susan Billings (Eileen Kelty) of Conn., James (Sandra) Billings of Troy, David Billings (Mary Spiak) of Troy, Cathy (Joseph) Mackey of Watervliet, Barbara (Odd) Volland of Maplewood, Bruce Heroux of Watervliet and Mother of the late Sandy E. Billings. Sister of Gayle Varin of Watervliet and the late Doris Hoag and Carole Lewis, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday 10:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
