Waterford – Dorothy L. Dalpe Chevalier, 91, died peacefully early Monday March 24, 2014 following a long illness, with her son Leo, daughter- in- law Linda and the extremely caring staff of Seton Health at Schuyler Ridge at her side A resident of Waterford, she was born, educated and worked most of her life in Cohoes. She was the daughter of the late Omer and Bernadette Palin Dalpe and wife of the late Arthur J. Chevalier. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Jeannette Maxwell, Nelda Bellerose, Leona Collier, Vivian Hope and her brother Walter Dalpe. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Leo (Linda) Chevalier of Waterford and Alan (Marge) Fish of Ballston Spa. Grandmother of Michelle (Nick) Rundlett and family of Florida, also survived by several dear nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, 10:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. The family has requested no viewing hours. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Schuyler Ridge or St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford in Dorothy’s memory.
