Please share a memory of Burton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Burton A. Sharp, 65, of Troy, N.Y. residing in Florida, died on Tuesday February 25, 2014 of pancreatic cancer. He was the son of the late Joseph Bud and Mary Graham Sharp. Burt graduated from Cohoes High School in 1967 and HVCC in 1969 with a degree in electronics. In 1970 Burt enlisted in the US Army until he was honorably discharged in 1973. A couple of years later Burt and four fellow electronic technicians started their own two-way radio repair shop called Capital Two-Way in Albany. In 1975 the company was incorporated as Capital Digitronics, Inc. and remains in operation today. In 2011 Burt finally retired and started his move to sunny Florida where he could enjoy his many hobbies as an avid and life-long H.A.M. operator and a gun/shooting enthusiast. He enjoyed reading, spending time with his animal friends like his BFF Rascal, woodworking and he could play a damn fine boogie woogie on the piano. Burt was respected by all and loved by most. He will be truly missed and most certainly never forgotten. Burt is survived by his daughter, Samantha Sharp of Troy, wife Christine Crispo Sharp of Troy, his brother Terence (Victoria) Sharp of East Greenbush, their sons Roger and Eric Sharp, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends including Kathleen Cassidy. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 6:30pm. at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7pm.
