Obituary of Paul D Billings

Watervliet – Paul D. Billings, 75, of Cohoes Road, Watervliet, passed away at his home on Monday, March 3, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Troy, educated in Maplewood School and graduated from Watervliet High School, he was the son of the late Howard and Marion Kehoe Billings. He worked at Tougher Industries in Menands for many years. He was a life time member of the Cohoes Rod and Gun Club and was President several times. He belonged to the American Legion in Green Island and Cohoes and a 50 year member of Local 83 Sheet Metal Workers. He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lorraine B. Giroux Billings. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Durocher Billings of Watervliet, his children, John Billings of Cohoes, Timothy Billings of Cohoes, Stephen (Eileen) Billings of Grafton, Eric Billings of Montana, Patrick (Susan) Billings of Florida, Paul Billings II of Cohoes, Denise Billings of Ohio, Christopher (Yvonne) Billings of Cohoes, step-father of Deborah Housley of Washington, William Hebert and John Hebert of Watervliet. Brother of Howard Billings of Cohoes, Patricia Roberts of Raymertown and the late Carol Adamiszyn, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday 10:00am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 2416 7th Avenue, Watervliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
