Cohoes Charles F. Diotte, 75, of River Street, Cohoes passed away at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center Albany, N.Y. on February 20, 2014 after a long illness. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Albert and Ann Kennedy Diotte. He was a construction worker for many years and was an avid bowler. Survived by his wife, Marlene Ziegler Diotte of Cohoes, his children, Cindy (Jim) Keil of Iowa, Marlene Johnson of Cohoes, Rochelle (John) Gleason of Cohoes and Dawn (Frank) Grimmick of Pleasantdale, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Brother of Albert Diotte of Cohoes and predeceased by Margaret Stephenson, Marge LeClair and John Diotte, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday 10:30 AM at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. James Ebert officiating. Interment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
