Obituary of Helen M Lackmann

Helen M. Wiley Lackmann, 93, of Cohoes, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, February 19, 2018 after a short illness.  Born in Troy, she graduated from Lansingburgh High School and graduated from Russell Sage Class of 1946.  She was a member of the former Sillman Memorial Presbyterian Church which later became United Church of Cohoes. Helen was a faithful member active in Church affairs.  She was also a long-time member of the Saturday Club of Cohoes and a dedicated volunteer at the former Cohoes Memorial Hospital, most recently Eddy Village Green.   Helen was predeceased by her husband C. Leonard Lackmann.  Survived by her sons, Stephen (Debra) Lackmann of Cohoes and David (Susan) Lackmann of Lancaster, PA. her granddaughters, Karin Lackmann, Kristy (Dan) Eldeen, Katherine (Thomas) Weidman, Jennifer Lackmann and her great grandchildren Nora Eldeen and Stephen Weidman.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews and many special friends.  The family would like to thank Pastor Nick TeBordo and her church family for many years of care and support. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday from 4 to 7 pm.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Nick TeBordo officiating.  Interment at the convenience of the family.  Those who wish to remember Helen in a special way may donate to the United Church of Cohoes or the ALS Association, Gift Processing Ctr., PO Box 37022, Boone, IA  5003-0022.
