Obituary of Marjorie Gorleski
Marjorie A. (Midge) Gorleski, 68, of Cohoes passed away suddenly at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Monday, December 11, 2017. Born in Troy, she graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy, Class of 1967. Daughter of the late David and Marjorie Morris Dame. She worked at St. Catherine's Center for Children, Albany for many years. Wife of Francis J. Gorleski, Jr. of Cohoes, mother of Rana (Damian) Meehan of Cohoes and Anton Gorleski, Minnesota and grandmother of Tyler Meehan, Cohoes. Sister of David (Barbara) Dame of Cohoes, Joyce Dame of Latham, Joan Vanne of Cohoes, Linda (Frank) Padula of Westmere, Michael (Terri) Dame of Cohoes, Janice (Kevin) Lavigne of Waterford and Brittany (Rose) Dame of Texas. Sister-in-law of Eva Shaughnessy of Saratoga, John Gorleski of Halfmoon, Donna Curtis of Cohoes, Lorraine Brassard of Ohio, Pamela Beaudoin of Waterford, Therese Dame of Cohoes, Harvey Gorleski of Waterford, Kimberly Forchilli of Cohoes and Victoria Wimple of Troy, also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Midge's Life will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10:45 am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Midge's memory to Astors Services for Children and Families Development Department 6339 Mill Street Rhinebeck , NY 12572.
