Clifton Park – Albert K. Rand, 71, of Clifton Park passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Born in Troy, graduate of Cohoes High School Class of 1964 and was the son of the late Jason and Irene Schermerhorn Rand. He was a US Air Force veteran. He retired from the US Postal service on New Karner Road, Colonie. He is survived by his wife, Carol Dufort Rand of Clifton Park, his niece Tina Rand and his best friend Michael Davis. The funeral service will be held on Monday morning 7:30am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Gerard Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 6pm.
