Janet Mae Duclos, 79, peacefully passed in her home in Waterford, NY on October 19, 2017 with her family by her side. Born on April 3, 1938 to the late Howard and Bessie Champaigne Dorr; Jan grew up in Snyder's Corners, NY and raised her family in Cohoes, NY. Jan lived a life full of activities she loved with her friends and family including walking, biking, cross country skiing, golf, gardening, bird watching, reading and traveling to the ocean.
Jan is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Duclos, daughter Diana LaPlante and husband Mark, daughter Debbie Duclos, daughter Linda Antos and husband Dave, son Robert Duclos and wife Dee; sister Grace Cedar, sister-in-law Catherine Duclos, sister-in-law Barbara Dorr, grandchildren Erica LaPlante Barker and husband Matt, Keith LaPlante and partner Alaina , Steve Antos and partner Liz, Jason Antos and partner Nicole, Michael Duclos and partner Kinga, Robert Duclos, great grandchildren Rudy Barker and namesake Audrey Mae Antos and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers John Dorr and Richard Dorr.
All those wishing to celebrate her life are welcome to join family and friends from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday October 22, 2017 at the Fairways of Halfmoon, 17 Johnson Rd, Mechanicville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jan's memory can be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition at http://give.ovarian.org whose mission is to prevent and cure ovarian cancer and to improve the quality of life for Survivors.
