Cohoes – Rosemary C. Bennett, 89, of Cohoes passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, after a brief illness peacefully in her sleep. She was born and educated in Brooklyn, Ny and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna McGoldrick Bennett. She worked as a Law Clerk for Robert Plan Insurance for many years before retiring. She is survived by her children, Cecil Yelle of Rouses Point, Michelle Darcy of Cohoes, Debra Shaffer of Brockport, William Darcy of Winter Park, FL, James Darcy of Halfmoon, and the late Karen Darcy, also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday December 13, 2024, 11:15AM at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 216 Columbia Street Cohoes.Interment will follow in Waterford Rural Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:15 to 11:15 prior to the service. Friends who wish to remember Rosemary in a special way may donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
