Cohoes – Henry L. Schindler, Jr., 66, of Cohoes passed away at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Monday November 11, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late Henry and Mary Faraci Schindler. He was educated at Heatley School in Green Island. He retired from Malone’s Refuse Service in Ballston Spa after many years of service. He was the owner-operator of Hank’s Lawn Service in Cohoes. He was an avid fisher and hunter. He loved spending time with his family. Father of Rebecca Schindler of Ballston Spa and Henry Schindler III of Mechanicville, grandfather of Kendall Harrigan, Jennifer Silvia, Henry Schindler IV, and William Schindler. Survived by his companion, Audrey Wright of Cohoes. Brother of Jean Kelly and Ann Jones, also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6:15pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 6:15pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider helping the family with funeral expenses in c/o of the funeral home.
