Obituary of Merrill H. Lynch

Merrill H. Lynch, 90 of Watervliet died at Van Rensselaer Manor, North Greenbush on Thursday, November 21, 2013 after a short illness. Born July 24, 1923 in Fort Covington, N.Y. He was the son of the late Charles and Mary Bell Rochelau Lynch. On July 9, 1947 he married Theresa Yando. She predeceased him on April 9, 1993. Mr. Lynch retired from Albany Steel in 1992. After his retirement he was employed for several years as a Green Thumb employee at the Department of Environmental Conservation. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WW II. He was a communicant of The Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah (Michael) Czmyr of Cohoes and his son David Lynch of Watervliet, grandsons Gregory and Kevin Czmyr, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday 11:30am at The Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment Monday in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Saturday morning from 9 to 11. Mr. Lynch’s family would like to give special thanks to the staff on A1 and B2 at Van Rensselaer Manor for providing wonderful care to their dad.
