Cohoes – Robert H. Reu, 95, of Cohoes passed away at Eddy Village Green, Cohoes on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was born on June 18, 1929, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late William and Claire Reu. The family relocated to Cohoes, NY. He graduated from Cohoes High School, was honorably discharged from the US Coast Guard after 8 years of service. He attended and graduated from the Troy Police Academy. Joined the NYS Troopers and was stationed in Malone, NY and later transferred to Kingston, NY to work for the NYS Thruway. Upon his retirement from the Troopers, he was employed as a Security Guard at several different venues in the Capital Region area. He was the brother of the late William E. Reu. Survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Reu, two nieces, Christine Reu-Donlon and Sheila Reu, and three grand nephews, Keegan Donlon, Garrett Dudek and Perrin Dudek. As per his request, there will be no viewing. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
