Cohoes – James E. Siek, 74, of Cohoes passed away at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness, on Tuesday June 25, 2024 . He was born in Troy, NY and was educated at Berlin Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He was the son of the late Edward and Sarah Feathers Siek. He enjoyed a forty plus year career in retail management. Jim was an avid baseball fan and lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. He loved watching his grandsons play and never missed a game.  Most importantly, he loved his family. Husband of almost 50 years to his loving wife Sandra Turcotte Siek. Father of Amanda Siek Cappillo, Samantha Siek and Miranda Siek, grandfather of Madison, Madeline, KJ, Konnor, and Keegan. Brother of Judy Siek, Mary Sheline, and Pam Lombard, also survived by several nieces and nephews. As Jim would say, “Play Ball”.

 Funeral services will be held at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.
