Obituary of Kathleen Bagley
Cohoes – Kathleen (Leeny) Brown Bagley, 94, of Cohoes, passed away at her daughter’s home on Monday, June 24, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Roanoke, VA, educated at Granby High, Norfolk, VA and was the daughter of the late Luther and Mary Elizabeth McBride Brown. She worked for 20 years at the Albany Memorial School of Nursing. Kathleen bowled for many years at the Cohoes Bowling Alley in the Rainbow League. She loved babies, and oh, how babies loved her! She was affectionately called the baby whisperer. Most of all she loved her family. Mom delighted in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s extracurricular activities, attending as many of them as she could. Kathleen was famous for her delicious sandwiches and homemade potato salad. Wife of 77 years to the late Norman E. Bagley, Jr. Mother of Norman (Karen) Bagley, Bruce (Ellen) Bagley, Kathleen (late Michael) Santarcangelo, Cynthia (Scott) Conrad and Curtis (Laura) Bagley, also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Eleven siblings predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:30am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with both Rev. Nick TeBordo, and grandson Norm Bagley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the service.
