Obituary of Jeanne M Goyette

Troy – Jeanne M. Goyette, 88, of Troy, passed at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Friday, August 25, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Adrian and Bernadette Audet Piche. She graduated from Catholic Central High School. She retired from RPI as a secretary. A member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She liked to crochet and trips to the Casino. Wife of the late Joseph V. Goyette. Mother of Michael (Donna) Goyette of Syracuse, Matthew (Juanita) Goyette of Brunswick, Andrew (Debra) Goyette of Cohoes, Lawrence Goyette of Watervliet and the late Kathleen (Dan) Napoli and David Goyette, grandmother of Christopher (Peace) Goyette, Danielle Cornell, Jeremy (Tess) Goyette, Jessica (Josh) Zint, Michael Goyette, Andrea Goyette and Lisa (Matt) Johnson, and eight great grandchildren.  Sister of the late Bea Frazier. Also survived by her nieces, Irene Carr of Troy, and Carol (Bob) LaPointe of Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Trinity on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10AM with Rev. Donald Bourgeois Officiating.

Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. Friends who wish to remember Jeanne in a special way may donate to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in her memory.
