Clifton Park – Lawrence R. Erno, Sr., of Clifton Park, passed away at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scotia where he was known as “Lar Bear,” with his family by his side, on Friday, August 11, 2023. He was born in Mechanicville, educated in Cohoes Schools and was the son of the late Delphis and Leona LeQue Erno. Lawrence was a machine operator at Allied Signal in Green Island where he retired after 30 years of service. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting and doing home repairs, an all-around handy person. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Theresa Kelly Erno of Clifton Park, his sons, David Erno of Waterford, Dean (Diana) Erno of Clifton Park, Craig (Donna) Erno of Glenville, Wayne (Tricia) Erno of Averill Park and the late Lawrence Erno, Jr. Grandfather of  Kristal (Jason), Alissa (Mano), Anthony and Gabrielle, great grandfather of Juliano, Illiana, Noah and Abigail.  Brother of Doris Peat, Marge Kilmer, and Joan O’Bomsawin and the late Francis Erno, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
