Rita Butler Matthews, 95, of Dublin, Ireland passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Robert Matthews. Dear mother of Philip Matthews of Dublin, Ireland, Gerard (Kate) Matthews of Cohoes, Robert (Margaret) Matthews of Dublin, Ireland and Adrian Matthews of Dublin, Ireland, also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by daughters Valerie and Irene. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00am at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Vliet Blvd., Cohoes by Rev. Chris DeGiovine. All are invited and welcome to celebrate Rita’s life. Those who wish to remember Rita in a special way may donate to the Food Pantry at Church of the Holy Trinity.
