Claire (Paris) Baillargeon, 93, of East Greenbush, NY passed away at the Village Green in
Cohoes, NY on Sunday, May 21, 2023 with her closest friend and children by her side. She was
born in Woonsocket, RI and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Marie Ange Paris. Claire
worked as a medical secretary at Fogerty Memorial Hospital, with Dr. Catello Scarano and
finally at the Visiting Nurse Services of Greater RI before she retired. Prior to her move to East
Greenbush, NY, she lived at Maple Woods in Cumberland and was a parishioner at St. Joan of
Arc Church. She was the wife of the late Edgar L. Baillargeon and mother of Diane Baillargeon
of Westerlo, NY and Robert Baillargeon of Sarasota, FL. She was also the grandmother of
Sabrina Smith-Sweeney of New York, NY and Marisa Smith of Westerlo, NY. She was the sister
of the late Therese Frappier, Roland Paris, and Leo Paris. She is survived by her brother, Robert
Paris. A private burial service and interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in
Cumberland. Friends who wish to remember Claire in a special way may donate to the
Maryknoll Sisters of Saint Dominic in her memory.
