Agatha C. Cummings, 81, of Cohoes, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born in Cohoes, graduated from Cohoes High School and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Peltier) DeLorimiere. She worked at Cluett Peabody in Troy for several years, then Travelers Insurance Agency and after retirement she worked for Price Chopper in Latham. She was a lifetime member of the PAA in Cohoes, where she served as Treasurer, she loved spending her time there with her friends. Wife of the late Phillip Cummings. Former wife of John Searles. Mother of Cindy (Scott) Golden of Latham, Heidi (Christopher) Haughney of Troy, grandmother of Meagan Golden, Brittany Newland, Wade Haughney and Hannah Haughney, great grandmother of Maverick, Emerson and Kensleigh. Sister of James (Jeanette) DeLorimiere of Indiana, Roland (Barbara) DeLorimiere of Texas, Calvin DeLorimiere of Cohoes and Mary Ann Joslin of Buskirk, and the late Joseph DeLorimiere and Margaret Bonesteel. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:30am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
