Lorraine B. Rainville Garceau, 87, of Cohoes passed away at the Eddy Heritage House, Troy with her family by her side on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was born and educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Bourdeau Rainville. Lorraine was a homemaker raising her family. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes. Wife of the late Joseph Garceau. Mother of Joe (Kelly) Garceau of Latham, Frank (Kathleen) Garceau of Latham, Jeannie (Timmy) Fredette of Cohoes and the late Sharon Brunick, grandmother of Brittney, Heather, Joey, Brian, Anastasia and Alexei, and 6 great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Beatrice Acker and Frank Rainville. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and good friend Shirley Blanchard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, Latham on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.
