Daniel F. Urban, Sr., 74, of Cohoes passed away at his residence on Friday, January 20, 2023. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Frederick and T. June Ryan Urban. He graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. Dan started his career in the hotel restaurant business, then moved on to sales with Standard Copy for several years and later retiring from Prime Companies in Latham. Dan was involved with Catholic Charities, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Noble Urban of Cohoes, his children Daniel (Alison) Urban of Colonie and Michelle Urban of Cohoes, and grandfather of Max and Addison. Brother of Chris (Maryann) Urban of Rotterdam and the late Lawrence Urban. Brother-in-law of Thomas Brazill (Colleen), Christina Salton, Cheryl (John) Gagnon and William (Carol) Bedard, also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11:00AM in the                     DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7pm.
