Halfmoon – Margaret I. (Peggy) Ashline Kurywka, 75, of Halfmoon, passed away at her home on Friday, July 22, 2022. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marjorie Gilligan Ashline, Sr. She attended St. Bernard’s School in Cohoes. Peggy retired from FYE in Colonie. She enjoyed camping at Coldbrook and playing Bingo. Wife of the late Paul Kurywka, Sr. Mother of Paul Kurywka, Jr. of Albany, grandmother of Bridget (Chris) Engel of Waterford. Sister of Ruth Stevens of Ballston Lake, Beverly Durante of Ballston Lake, Lorna Ashline of Ballston Lake, Stanley Ashline, Jr. of Wynantskill, Paul (Deborah) Ashline, Sr. of Castleton-on-the-Hudson, and sister of the late Mary Anne Pinke and Eileen Cicchinelli. Also survived by her sister-in-law Pat Kurywka of Halfmoon and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 28, 2022, 10:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 to 7pm.
