Melrose – Margaret Nolin Fecura, 78, of Melrose, Valley Falls Road, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn on Friday, January 28th, 2022, following a brief illness. Born in Waterford, June 28, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Georgianna (Couture) Nolin; sister to Arnold (Linda) Nolin and the late Arthur (late Kathleen) Nolin. She graduated top of her class at Catholic Central High School (1961) and went on to be a stenographer for the Department of Transportation in Albany before marrying John A. Fecura on May 2, 1964, who passed away on March 20, 2012. Survivors include her five children:  Dianna Fecura (Paul Fraim) of Clifton Park, John Fecura of Johnsonville, Michelle (Michael) Sullivan of Lake George, David (Melissa) Fecura of Parker, CO, and Linda (Andrew) Fecura Bunk of Schaghticoke. Margaret devoted herself to her family and was the proudest Mimmy to her eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. She simply loved being at home, staying abreast of developing stories through CNN, Bella-Napoli treats, and Sunday dinners. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Margaret’s longtime nurse and friend, Donna Rose, RN. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Margaret’s family asks that remembrances be made to the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208, or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204, in loving memory of Margaret Fecura.
