Troy – Michael J. Stack, 75, of Troy passed away at Albany Medical Center on Thursday, December 23, 2021. He was born in Troy and was the son of the late Michael J. and Lena Marie Louprette Stack, Sr. He graduated from Troy High School. He went to work for Williams Press, G.A.F. Corp, then he retired in 2006 from General Electric Company in Waterford after 28 years of service. He loved sports as a youth, especially hockey and football, then he became a spectator when he was older. He was a generous person giving to many organizations like St. Jude Research Hospital and Boys Town. He would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Rubin Center for their assistance. Also good-bye to his special friend, Doctor Arora. He is survived by his brother, Ronald C. Stack of Brunswick, and brother of the late Lorainne Kelley. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
