Ballston Spa – James (Tim) Brennan, 76, of Ballston Spa and formerly of Cohoes, passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 19, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late Howard and Marion Girard Brennan. He was a graduate of Cohoes High School, Class of 1962. He worked as a service representative at IBM and Kodak prior to retiring from Gurley Precision Instruments. He was former co-owner of Kirker’s Steak and Seafood in Latham. He was a former member of Latham Elks Club and a member of the Cohoes Knights of Columbus, Council #192. Devoted husband of 55 years to Jacqueline Pater Brennan of Ballston Spa, loving father of Brenda Brennan of Rochester and Tracey (Steve) Nieckarz of Ballston Spa and adoring grandfather of Megan and Melissa. Brother of Diane Brennan White of Cohoes, son-in-law of Elizabeth Pater, brother-in-law of Edmund Pater and Edward (Ted) Farron (Erin), also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. Dedicated care givers, Nancy Allen and Lisa Rose, and his loyal companion Sparkles. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 5:00pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Charles Valenti officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 5pm prior to the service.
