Cohoes – Emile G. Gregoire, 90, a lifelong resident of Cohoes passed away at his niece’s residence on Sunday, October 10, 2021.  He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late Napolean and Claire Lessard Gregoire.  He was educated in St. Joseph’s School.  Emile was a Korean War Veteran, serving as a Corporal from 1951-1953, he received the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars.  He worked at Rensselaer Valve and Star Textile for 30 years. Emile was the longest member of the Cohoes Knights of Columbus Council #192.  Brother of the late Gerald Gregoire and Claire Plante.  Survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great- great nieces and great- great nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 11:00am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.  The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.
