Cohoes – Lucille Primeau, 86, of Cohoes, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side, on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.  She was born in Waterford and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha Coallier Primeau.  She was educated in St. Joseph’s School in Cohoes.  Lucille worked at Troy Town Shirt in Cohoes and retired from New York State Department of Labor in Albany.  A former parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Cohoes, and a member of St. Joseph’s Activities Club, and the Ladies of St. Anne.  She liked to crochet, she belonged to the YMCA in Clifton Park and loved to garden, she loved flowers. Sister of, Marianne Primeau of Cohoes, sister of the late Madeleine Olszowy, Doris Beakbane and A. Raymond Primeau.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 27, 2021, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford at 11:30am.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.  Relatives and friends are invited to call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30am prior to the Mass.  Friends who wish to remember Lucille in a special way may donate to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Menands, NY or St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford, NY in her memory.
