Obituary of Alfred Rousia III

Cohoes – Alfred Rousia III, 58, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy.  He was born in Cohoes and was the son of Helen St. Gelais Rousia of Cohoes and the late Alfred Rousia, Jr.  He graduated from Cohoes High School, Class of 1980.  He worked for Blumberg Excelsior Corporate Services in Menands as a warehouse supervisor.  He painted for Precision Painting in Troy for several years before retiring. He was President of the PAA Club, Willow Street, Cohoes, a member of the Cohoes Rod and Gun Club and All Troy Athletic Club.  He was an avid NY Yankees fan and NY Giants fan.  Survivors in addition to his mother, is his wife of 32 years, Janice Bertrand Rousia of Cohoes, his children, Eric (Sarah) Rousia of Clifton Park and Stephen Rousia of Cohoes and his grandchildren Mayleigh and Carson.  Brother of Mary Sebast and the late Jeanne Rousia.  Also survived by his Mother-in-law, Helen Rifenberg, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes on Tuesday July 20, 2021, at 9:30am. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 4 to 7pm.  Friends who wish to remember Al in a special way may donate to the charity of one’s choice in his memory.
