Obituary of Raymond E. Primeau

Lakeland, FL – Raymond E. Primeau, 59, of Lakeland, FL passed away at his residence on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, graduated from Cohoes High School, class of 1980 and was the son of the late Audre and Theresa Loiselle Primeau. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1980 – 1982 with CO B 25th S & T, served in the NY Army National Guard 1984-1992 with 205th, NY Army National Guard 2010-2011 with 1427th Trans Co. and was a Cold War Veteran. He was appointed by Governor Cuomo and President Obama to serve on the Selective Service Board from 2012-2019. He was a Security Guard at Florida Presbyterian Nursing Home, Lakeland, FL, and assistant director at Northeast Health for housekeeping and laundry for the whole system for 23 years. A member of the ET Ruane Post #0476 Cohoes. Survived by his children, Nicholas Primeau, Denver, CO, and Jessica (Josh) DeLude, Cohoes, grandfather of Logan, Jayden, Jaylan, and Benjamin. Brother of Diane Lussier, Edward Primeau and Linda Salisbury, also survived by 2 nieces. Funeral services will be held at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
