Troy – Daron M. Thomas, 13, of Troy, passed away suddenly at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital NYU, Manhattan on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born in Troy and was the son of Wayne Smith, Jr. of Troy, and Louchanna Thomas (Kayleigh Purrott/Mayville) of Troy. Daron was an 8th grade student at Tamarac School. Survivors in addition to his parents are his siblings, Jeremiah, and Mark Thomas of Troy and Cassey and Bradley Smith of Pa. Grandson of the late Michele Young, Stanley Thomas of Troy, Wayne Smith, Sr. of Troy and Delona Smith of Pa, great grandson of Donna Smith of Pittstown, also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins, and everyone he met. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 5:30pm. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday from 4 to 6pm prior to the service.
