Szczepan (Steve) Miszkiewicz, 94, of Cohoes passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Troy Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Monday, March 1, 2021. He was born in Roguszyn, Poland, moving to the United States on July 15, 1962 with his whole family. Son of the late Teofil and Wanda Polkowska Miszkiewicz. He was a machinist at General Electric in Niskayuna for many years until his retirement. Husband of the late Tekla Miszkiewicz. He is survived by his children, Zygmund (Steven) Miszkiewicz of FL, Regina Lagace of Troy, Edmund Miszkiewicz of CA and Janina Miszkiewicz of Saratoga Springs, NY, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Brother of Zenia Miszkiewicz and the late Irena and Zenobia Nojszewska. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Colonie. Parastas service will be held Friday at 4:30pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7pm. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed inside and outside of the funeral home.
