Cecile Y. Rivest, 97, of Marlboro, MA, passed away at Marie Esther Health Center, Malboro, MA on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Stanislas and Lea Prud’homme Rivest. Formerly of Cohoes, NY, she was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, attended St. Joseph’s Parochial School, and furthered her education in Canada. Residing in Rhode Island for 48 years, she was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville, RI., and retiring from Polytop Corp., Slatersville, RI. She resided in Clifton Park, NY, before moving to Marie Esther Health Center, Marlboro, MA. Miss Rivest was predeceased by her sisters, Sister Rose Rivest SSA, Sister Elise Rivest SSA and Mary A. Thouin; brothers, L. Joseph Rivest, H. Paul Rivest, and Oliver J. Rivest. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Martha Rivest and many nieces and nephews. Honoring her wishes, the funeral service, viewing and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady Of The Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110 in her memory.
