Candace,Travis, Gordon, and all... My heart is saddened to learn of Dakota’s passing. I have so many fond memories of him, we had a special bond! Dakota and I had many years of a special relationship and I want you to know how much I appreciate that you entrusted Dr Pinapati and me with his care. He accomplished so much in his short life and was most proud of his role as a firefighter. I hope Candace, that every time you look at your granddaughter you feel his love shining back at you! I shall always remember Dakota, and will keep all of you in my prayers! Mary Hannell

Brian, I am so sorry for your loss. I saw Dakota at Stewart’s a few weeks ago, we had a chat and shook hands. One of the greatest kids I’ve ever known. I pray that you and your family make it through this difficult time. Please take care of one another. Sincerely, Joseph Brennan.

Kota & I have always had a special bond since day one. He was always looking up to me. I hope I was the coolest uncle in the world to you kid. I love you with all my hart. One special memory I have is when took him for a ride in my Hot Rod Camaro just to go get ice cream down the street. The kid had such a grin on his face. Then a few years ago we went to watch the stock car races at Fonda Speedway together and we started talking about putting our own car together to race. Our project got side lined for a period of time due to financial reasons. A couple weeks ago I finally ordered the needed part to get the car up and running again. I told him over Facebook Messenger. He was so excited to finally get back to working on the car again. His excitement and enthusiasm made me excited and ready get get back to work. I am deeply bothered and sorry that you never got the chance to race. My hart is broken now that you are no longer with us. The world is a much lesser place with out your bright smile and warm hart. You were such a wonderful young man. I am very proud of you the man you have become. I was always waiting for your next accomplishment to talk about with my peers. The day you gave Aunt Michele and I a personal tour of your firehouse was fantastic and really showed me how much you have matured. I am so glad that you were a part of my life. I will forever love you and cherish you. You were my Pony Boy always Golden.
