Cohoes – Joan M. Basios, 85, of Cohoes passed away suddenly at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. She was born and educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Powers Conway. She worked at the Cohoes Middle School as a lunchroom aide. Wife of the late Frank Basios. Mother of Joan (Dennis) Ballard of Brunswick and Beth Primeau of Schenectady and the late Sharron Collis, and 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Sister of Carol Lysogorski and the late Kathleen Badgley. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Tuesday, at 11:30am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30. Inurnment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.
