Doris I. Riberdy Heroux, 88, of Cohoes, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 after a short illness. Born in Cohoes, educated in St. Joseph's School and was the daughter of the late Donald and Adrienne Gregoire Riberdy. She was a clerk for 23 years for the Department of Transportation. Wife of the late William O. Heroux. Mother of Paul (Nan) Heroux of Cohoes, Linda Heroux of Cohoes and William (the late Joann) Heroux of Cohoes. Grandmother of Kenneth Desautels, Kevin Desautels, Kimberly Desautels, Rion Heroux and Paul Heroux, Jr., Monique Phelps and Andrea Heroux, also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Sister of the late Rhea Perrier, Clarence Riberdy, Donald Riberdy and Alice St. Pierre. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral 9:30am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Charles Valenti officiating. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Doris in a special way may make a donation to Rubin Dialysis, Troy or Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany in her memory.
