Leslie R. Winner, 78, of Cohoes, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Hudson Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center after a long illness. Born in Elmira, NY, educated in Albany High School, he was the son of the late Howard and Grace Hurr Winner. Les was a Police Officer for the City of Cohoes for over 20 years. He was an avid sports fan, fisherman and loved spending time with his little buddy Zachary. Beloved husband of Jayne Penrose Winner of Cohoes. Father of Kelly (Michael) Tessier of Cohoes, Dean (Carol) Winner of Troy, David (LauJuan) Winner of Alexandria, VA, Darrell-Jon (Patti) Winner of Delmar, Lesleigh (Danny) Rushford of Cohoes, Judie (David) Levy of Sharon, MA, Bonnie (Peter) Angelo of Oakridge, TN and Jennifer (John) Pelletier of Naples, FL, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and 2 nieces. Brother of Robert Winner of FL. At the family's request, services will be held at a time to be announced.
