John A. Barna, 67, of Cohoes passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late George and Ann Kowal Barna. John retired from NYS DCJS. Survived by his brother George C. Barna of Myrtle Beach, SC and his sister Joann Barna Corrigan of Troy. Nieces and nephews Elizabeth Barna Van Buren, George C. Barna, Jr., Kathleen Corrigan Aidala, Joseph M. Corrigan and Tracy M. Corrigan, also survived by several generations of grandnieces and grandnephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 9:00am Tuesday. December 13, 2016 at St. Michael's Church, Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford
