Obituary of Lillian M. Clermont

Lillian M. Lessard Clermont, 91, of Cohoes passed away at the Eddy Village Green, Cohoes on Saturday, December 22, 2018.  Born in Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Dozois Lessard.  She graduated from Catholic Central High School.  Lillian was a wife and homemaker.  After high school she worked at Bell Telephone Company then Marine Midland Bank in Loudonville.  She was owner-operator of Apartment Grocery Store in Lansingburgh for many years.  She also worked part-time at Lennox Outlet in Latham, Polo Outlet in Cohoes and Walmart in Clifton Park.  She sang for many years with the Sweet Adeline’s and Silvertops.    Lillian enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing and quilting.  Predeceased by her husband Omer F. Clermont.  Survivors include her children, Glenn (Corinna) Clermont of Dallas, Texas, Wayne (Vicki) Clermont of Rexford, NY, Louanne (William) King of Melrose, MA and Patty (Peter) Irish, of Malvern, PA, her grandchildren, Glenn, Jr., Paul, Jennifer, Dustin, Jessica, Jacques, Nicole, Kelly and Michael and 9 great grandchildren.  Sister of Marilyn Rood of Sayville, NY, Joan Etchells of Clifton Park and Gary Lessard of Schenectady and the late Theresa Ryan and Louis Lessard. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 9:00am at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.  Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Wednesday from 3 to 7pm.
