Obituary of Elizabeth J Mrozek

Round Lake – Elizabeth J. Hartshorn Mrozek, 72, of Round Lake and formerly of Latham passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.  She was born in Cohoes and was a graduate of Troy High School and Albany Business College.  Daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth LeRoy Hartshorn.  She was a Secretary in corporate accounting at Cluett & Peabody, Troy.  She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Chapter General Peter Gansevoort, and on the committee to renovate the Van Schaick Mansion in Cohoes. She joined under ancestor Benjamin Morgan who fought at the Battle of Bennington.  A founding member of Chapter Sasebo, Japan. A member of Daughters of Union Veterans, Julia Hibbard 1071.  She was a descendent of Richard Warren a passenger on the Mayflower.  A member of the Latham Eastern Star.  Wife of Felix Mrozek of Round Lake.  Mother of Dawn E. James of Conway, N H and Wendy M. Carson of Hanover, MA and grandmother of Nickolas and Aidan James of Conway, NH.  Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.  Funeral Monday   11:00AM  at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Charles Valenti officiating.  Entombment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 until 4pm.
