Obituary of Geraldine N Mosseau
Geraldine Nancy Ryan Mosseau, 69, of Clifton Park passed away Saturday August 4, 2018 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by family after a long illness. Born in Niskayuna and was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School. She was the daughter of Jeremiah and Hazel R. Fletcher Ryan. Gerry worked in the credit office of the former JM Fields store in Latham.
Gerry was the wife of Joseph E. Mosseau for 47 years.
Gerry became a homemaker after the birth of her son Joseph W. in 1977. Gerry was a special person to all who met her through her kind and gentle manner that she displayed. Gerry’s gentle personality and kindness came across immediately when she was in the presence of children. Gerry loved to travel, entertain friends and family at her home and enjoyed long Sunday rides.
Gerry was a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne, the Clifton Park Senior Citizens, Halfmoon Senior Citizens and the “Y” of Clifton Park.
In addition to her husband, she is the mother of Joseph (Melissa) Mosseau, sister of Mary Joan Peabody (Albert), Linda Voelker (Kenneth), Maurice, Joseph (Rosemary) and Michael (Carol). Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Thursday 9AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, INC 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Wednesday from 4-7PM.
