Obituary of Jane D. Tolak
Jane Dudek Tolak, 89, formerly of Waterford passed away at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Albany on Monday, April 16, 2018 after a long illness. She was born in Cohoes, attended St. Michael’s School, Cohoes, graduated from Cohoes High School and attended Burroughs Comptometer School in Troy. Daughter of the late John and Julia Cislo Dudek. She worked for New York Telephone Company for over 25 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. A communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Cohoes and a member of the Rosary Society for over 50 years. Jane was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed attending many polka dances at St. Michael’s Pavilion. She was a master craftsman at knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed traveling with her husband upon retirement. Predeceased by her husband Bernard J. Tolak after 50 years of marriage. Beloved mother of Nancy E. Tolak of Waterford. Sister of the late Katherine Septic, Stanley Dudek, John Dudek, Stacia Smarowski and Edward Dudek. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Thursday 11:00am from St. Michael’s Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Jane in a special way may donate to St. Michael’s Church Building Fund or American Diabetes Association in her memory.
