Obituary of William Reyes

William Reyes, 76, of Brunswick passed away at his home on Monday August 10, 2015 after a long illness. Born and educated in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Marcela Reyes. He was a baker at Edwards Food Market in Latham and was the former owner of Carlos Pizza in Troy. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he loved boxing and was a Yankee fan. He was the love of his families’ lives, he will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Ayotte Reyes of Brunswick, his children William Reyes of Troy, Tony Reyes of Brunswick, Marguerita (John) Culliton of Schaghticoke, Donald Reyes of Troy and Carlos (Kath’e) Reyes of Brunswick, 12 grandchildren Casey Reyes, William Murray, Kayla Culliton, Jenna Sheldrick, Carlos Reyes, Jr., Ashley Culliton, Alexa Reyes, Karley Culliton, Adrianna Reyes, Samantha Culliton, Ayden Reyes and Evan Reyes and 5 great grandchildren Jordan Reyes, Keadan Jones, Ezra Murray, Chloe Sovia and Ashtin Murray. Brother of Carmen Reyes of Puerto Rico, Delivina Allard of MA and Raphael Vasquez of Puerto Rico and the late Fredsvinda Opero and Antonio Gonzales, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday 10:00am at Transfiguration Parish, Speigletown where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Paul and Peggy Schmidt.
