Obituary of Timothy D Butler

Timothy D. Butler, 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2015, at his home surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Troy, he is the son of the late Leo and Catherine Sullivan Butler. He graduated from Shaker High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Tim was the Vice President of ANJO Construction, a Division of Vellano Brothers in Latham for over 36 years. He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.
Tim is survived by his wife, Claire Tremblay Butler, of 37 loving years, his children Michelle (Marshall) Vitale of East Greenbush, Amanda (Robert) Chrysler of Halfmoon and Timothy L. Butler of Latham. He is also survived by his grandchildren Leah, James, and Luke Vitale, and Emily, Olivia and Mackenzie Chrysler. He also leaves behind two brothers John "Jack" (Donna) Swedick of Cohoes and Michael (Gloria) Swedick of Johnstown, and several nieces and nephews.
Tim will be remembered for his generosity, kind heart and his sense of humor. Tim was very family oriented. He loved fishing, golfing, camping, and spending time with his family at his camp in Bolton Landing. Over the years, Tim was involved in coaching/managing numerous sports teams such as Latham Lassies, Latham Little League, North Colonie Pop Warner, and CYO/CYC Basketball.
Funeral Tuesday 10am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Family and Friends are invited to call at the DUFRENSE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Monday from 4 to 7pm.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in the memory of Timothy D. Butler.
